Importing data on second computer

Hi,

We just bought a laptop. I installed NT and used the same license key. How can I export data from the first computer to the laptop?

Hello Diane,

Yes, this is possible using the instructions below.

Please create a backup file using the settings to your liking. Instructions can be found at the link below.

Once NinjaTrader created a backup file, it is located at My Documents-->NinjaTrader Backup as .ntbk file.

Copy this file to the new PC at the exact same location; My Documents-->NinjaTrader Backup.

Start NinjaTrader on the new PC and restore your backup file.

Hello Jason,

It worked fine. I made a backup tonight and restored it on the laptop. I have a gap on my chart from yesterday morning to tonight when I logged in to Ninja Trader.

I ran Ninja Trader all day today. The option to reload historical data is enabled on the first computer. It is disabled on the laptop. Any suggestion?

Please send me an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com including the license key that is entered in NinjaTrader on the second PC.

What data feed provider are you connected to on the second PC and what instrument and interval is selected in the chart?
