Commissions

I am trying to set up commissions, so the Account Performance tab will be more accurate. I currently have:

Futures - Zen-Fire set to 2.2$ min; 2.20

...and this is on the Commissions tab of the Options window under Tools of course.

I have both real trades and simulated trades that I would like to add commissions to.

But when I hit 'Generate' on the Accounts Performance tab, no commissions show up on the Summary Tab or the Trades Tab....

What else can I do? Thanks for your time.

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately commissions are NOT added to your live trades as Zen-Fire does not provide this information. This is on development's list of future considerations to simulate for live trades.

Commission can be included in your PnL calculations provided you have correctly configured NinjaTrader. Commission values can be defined for each connectivity provider per instrument and per instrument type.
Commission values are used in the following order:

• From the instrument if a commission value has been defined else
• From the instrument type if a commission value has been defined else
• No value is used since none have been defined

Please follow the instructions below to define commission values per instrument type:

• From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
• Select the tab "Commission"
• Click here for details on defining a commission values

• Double click on the instrument you wish to add a commission value for
• Click on the "Misc" tab

Critical: Ensure that 'Apply commission to PnL calculations' is enabled under Tools > Options > General tab.

I have already set all of that info on the commissions tab of the options menu....however, I had not set commission per instrument type...I have now though...and there are still no commissions showing up...anywhere...and yes I have the apply commish to PnL calc's checked...what's next?

Can you post a screenshot of your global commission set up?
Please remove the instrument specific setup so we can work with the global commissions.
