I've just been playing around with Chart Trader using
simulated data.

When I click on Buy Market I get(sometimes):

Limit price must be greater than 0. Affected Order:Sell 1 StopLimit@
3x-17

When I click on Sell Market I get(sometimes):

Buy stop or buy stop limit orders can't be placed below the market.
Affected Order: Buy 1 StopLimit@3x23

I think I'm going to look foolish here, but I can't get what's
going on.

Hello stephenszak,

Am I correct, you click the Buy/Sell Market buttons in ChartTrader when these errors occur? Or do you right click in the chart and select a buy stop limit order?

Please restart NinjaTrader and check if the error persist upon submitting orders via these buttons.

Buy stop limit orders can be submitted below the market price. I suspect upon submitting the order, the market quickly moved below the price of the stop limit order, which caused the error.

I just click on 'BUY MARKET' or 'SELL MARKET'. I thought
it would just execute the order instantly. The DOM seems
to work just fine, but I thought Chart Trader would be a
simplier way to trade.

Clicking these buttons will submit a market order and not a stop limit order. Are you sure you click these buttons when the error message occurs? I tested it on my end, but I could not reproduce it; the Buy/Sell Market buttons sent market orders and not stop limit orders.

Yes, the 2 top buttons. Well, at least I did it right.
The order(s) do seem to be simulated placed, even
though the error box comes up. The stop loss in the box
shows 3.0, but the stop doesn't work. Maybe the two
are related, or maybe the program must use live real data.

Ok, I shut down the program and computer and hard booted
my system. The problem is no longer there. Still, that was
very odd.
