look back period

Hi
I am confused as to how the lookback settings work..currently I have mine set on 200 days for tick data and it only displays about 10 days back? On another tic chart in the same work space it goes back a further 5 days? Can someone enlighten me please? I am aware that It woint go back beyond the current contract period unless I merge data.

Hello Lindsay,

Could it be you entered 'Bars back = 200' instead of 'Days back = 200'?

What instruments are selected in the charts? Try right clicking in the chart and check if the requested data is displayed.

no..tools/options/data

tic and minute fields show 200 'days' as that is the unit for these settings.

length of displayed data varies according to instrument..it is NQ in particular that is most unsatisfactory..only going back to 24-4-2009. I use Zen datafeed

Hello Lindsay,

Could you please check the same value is used in the Format Data Series window of your chart. Right click in the chart and select 'Format Data Series'.

If so, please right click in the chart once more and select 'Reload Historical Data'. Check if the requested data is displayed.

If not, please go to Tools-->Account Connections, highlight your Zen-Fire connection and click Change. Check if 'Historical Data' is enabled.
