MBT disconnects & restarting NT

    MBT disconnects & restarting NT

    One thing that is annoying about the MBT interface is that MBT does a nightly shutdown at midnight for about 5 minutes. Another annoying thing is that when MBT is disconnected, you can't reconnect until you restart NT. I understand from NT support that is the way the MBT interface is documented, so it is out of their hands. Has NT talked to MBT to see if they will consider upgrading their interface so that NT won't have to restart?

    But until a permanant solution is provided by MBT, I'm trying to figure out a work-around. Like some way to automatically exit and restart NT and auto-reconnect to MBT. Any ideas?

    As you mentioned, this is out of our hands. We will, however, update you if this changes.

    I know of no work-around for this issue. Perhaps other support forum users could offer any solutions they have come across?

      So, you don't know of any way to automatically start NT and connect to MBT? I've seen some other similar threads, and it looks like some people are using keyboard macro programs. Seems like there should be some NT way to do this, like with a command-line option or something.

          Okay. Can you consider it a suggestion for enhancement some form of automatic connectiong to a data provider?

          Also, what has MBT said about fixing the issue about reconnecting? Have you tried to work with them to get that resolved?

            1.) Yes, I will forward this on to our development team for further consideration.

            2.) This has been reported to MB Trading. When and if this changes, we will update you.
