stopped out question

I was SIM trading today "Sunday 4-26-09" on the ES. I placed a short order at 854.25 with 10 contracts and was filled.

My 1st profit target was at 2 ticks "853.75" and my 2nd profit target was at 5 ticks "853.00". My 1st profit target was filled and then I moved my stop loss manually to break even plus one to "854.00" but for some reason I was stopped out at 853.50?

What may have caused this?

- due to low liquidity
- in-flight execution
