    Strategies Gone After Upgrade!!!

    I followed the directions to upgrade to version 9; all my strategies and stops are gone!! My properties settings are also gone, everything has been reset to default!



    What gives?????

    Correct, this is a result of delete the database file. This is necessary. I should have included this information in the instructions.

      Provide detailed instructions on how to reverse this debacle; I am not about to recreate numerous strategies from scratch, nor should anyone else be expected to. I have not yet deleted the files from my Recycle Bin.

        Uninstall NT
        Restore all deleted files from your recycle bin
        Download the prior beta from a link that will be posted here by tomorrow morning.

        Note: Although you will be able to recover, if you ever move away from the prior beta version, you will have to recreate your strategies.

          Yes, but at least I will have a record of all my strategies and property settings BEFORE I upgrade.

              Question:

              I have strategies and it will work well on NT7 prior to the new release Beta now. I made a backup of that strategies and move to latest release Beta of NT7 and upgraded to windows 7 ultimate SP1. Now, my problem is as I try to make a replay of my strategies it will now not take a trade. What would be best solution for this? I am using the data that I've backup and replace the data of the new installed beta of NT7.

                Hello luxurious_04,

                Could it be the conditions were not met to submit orders?

                Do you perhaps experience order rejections? Do you see any error messages in the Log-tab after you enabled your strategy? If so, please tell me what the error messages state.

                If you do not experience order rejections but orders are simply not submitted, you will need to debug your strategy to check why it does not submit orders. Please see the link below for information regarding the debug process.
