Default workspace never gets saved

Every time I exit Ninjatrader I answer "yes" or "yes to all" when asked if I want to save the default workspace.. it never does... it's a bit annoying.

Are you sure it is open at that time or there were changes made to it? Try going to File>Workspaces>close until all of the workspaces are closed. Then make a change to the default workspace and shut down. It works, you just have to get used to it a bit. Note the current workspace is listed at the very top of the Control Center at all times. That is odd behavior relative to most windows programs. Typically if they ask if you want a workspace saved and you indicate you do, they save the workspace. It's hard to see how you could complicate that.

It seems to be hit or miss on saving workspaces no matter how I do it but that could just be psychological superstition after this long period of using the software and never knowing if it is going to save the workspace or not.. It seems to work if I deliberately tell it to save the workspace while the program is running but rarely at shutdown..

Hello maxpi,

Could the following have happened? You saved your workspace via File-->Workspaces-->Save Workspace. Upon shutting down NinjaTrader you closed all windows except the Control Center. You exited the software and when prompted to save your workspaces your selected Yes.

If so, you saved the workspace again, but this time without any windows present. Next time you open up NinjaTrader, it opens up a blank workspace.

I suggest to create a small test workspace and save it. Do not close any of the windows part of the workspace and shut down the software. Start NinjaTrader and the workspace should appear.
