    empty folders

I have the data recording set on all the time and leave ninja up all day, I was going to go over some past recordings but a good portion of the data folders are empty. Also ninja seems to be running a little slow at times isnt there a thing you can do to re name a file and dump a bunch stored data or something?

    Hello,

You can remove the recorded files from Documents>NinjaTrader>db>data.

no there is something else I had in mind like renaming some file?
but do you think the saved days are slowing me down?

          Hello,

I am not sure under which conditions it will create an empty folder. Did you go to Tools>Historical data>Delete ever? Did you open the Market Recorder then never record something?

no ive never deleted any of the data and the recorder runs all the time. Just doesnt save data for every day. I never mess with the settings.

the thing about dumping data i was talking about is re naming the data base support at ninja has had me do this 2 times before is it time to do it again?

                Hello,

You could do this and it could help the speed depending on the size of the db file. However, you may want to check that you don't have any workspaces up in the back ground. This and other tips are discussed in this link:

Ive talked to a few friends who also use the replay feature none of them have the problems I do. The replay function has never worked well for me from the begining. What if I install ninja and re install it? Will I loose all my custome stuff and 3rd party stuff? Ive paid for the life time suscription and am sick of not being able to get it to work the way it should.

                      Hello ckait,

In order to obtain Market Replay data, the following two aspects are vital.
                      • Make sure 'Run market replay recorder' is enabled at Tools-->Options-->Data-tab.
                      • You will need to receive real-time data in order to retrieve Market Replay data.
I suggest to perform a quick test to check if the Market Replay feature works as expected.

Ensure the option in the Data-tab in enabled. Connect to your real-time data feed and select the ES 06-09 in a NinjaTrader window that receives real-time data. Collect data for a few minutes and disconnect. Restart NinjaTrader and connect to the Market Replay connection via File-->Connect-->Market Replay. Right click on the Market Replay control and select 'Available instruments'. Check if the recently recorded data is reflected.

If not, did you make any changes in the db-->data folder?

                          Hello ckait,

                          Thank you for your reply.

                          To whom are you connecting?
Please check the Log tab in the Control Center for any evidence of disconnections.
