Charts slow to update during bursts of market activity

I am using the Zen-Fire connection from Mirus futures, currently in simulation mode. I am looking at various futures contracts, like ES and NQ. Today I was watching NQ and there were times when we had sudden bursts of activity. The SuperDOM and the time & sales windows perfectly captured these bursts, but the charts would just "stick" for about a second or so, sometimes more, before finally updating and showing the newly formed bar. The problem with this is that sometimes it's difficult to tell from the time + sales which way the market is moving during the burst, so I have to wait until I see the chart update to see the direction that spiked. Needless to say this is a MAJOR problem because it means that I can't get in or out right away but need to wait to see the chart.

It could be because I am using demo mode... can someone help with this?

(By the way, my display update interval is set to 0 for all charts. Also, I have a Core i7 920 with plenty of RAM.)

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

This is most likely caused by high CPU usage:

Make sure you are on the latest version of NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.9. You can check under Help --> About.
If not, please download from this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/do...g_software.htm

Also run a virus/malware scan as harmful programs can cause poor PC performance.

Also test with less charts if you have many open.

Alright, I will try some of these tips, and will let you know if things don't improve. I will also make sure to have Task Manager open with to be checking my CPU usage tomorrow to see if these problems are related to CPU or not... thanks! (Also, I did have the market replay recorder on... not sure if that could be the cause of this. I have turned it off now.)
