import historical data then refresh on chart

After I import historical data for a chart(symbol) I have to delete the chart then create a new chart before I see the imported data.

Is there a way to import data and leave the chart running then refresh the chart so the new data appears and my annotions also stay?

Hello mikeytrader,

You can right click in the chart and select 'Reload Historical Data' to reload historical.

For some reason that optino is greyed out when I right click. Is there something I have to do to activate it?

You will need to be connected to a data feed that supports historical data.

However, in most cases NinjaTrader will load historical data from your data feed provider when connected to your data feed and not the imported historical data.

for this symbol I do not have a provider. I am creating the data and loading the data with the historical import. Is there any other way to refresh the data in this case?

Unfortunately not, you will need to create a new chart after the import.

Unfortunately this is not supported. You can load chart templates in other charts, however chart templates only save applied indicators and chart property settings.
