tick chart not working

    tick chart not working

    I have selected tick chart with a range of 10 ticks on my YM chart but the chart is not displaying the bars in the specified 10 tick range. Any reason for that?

      Whoops, what I meant to ask is, do you have range bars? I use IB btw. Thanks.

        Unfortunately we do not support IB's historical tick data, which range bars are built with.

        -Your live tick data should work though.

          So no range bars for live IB data feed?

              Okay, but the drop down list at the top of the chart shows only minute, tick, and volume intervals, nothing about range. Do I need to upgrade?

                If you right click in your chart and select "Format Data Series" are you able to select range bars from the bar type drop down?

                  It says Format Data Series and Interval Settings (I selected 10 ticks) and Range Settings (I selected 100 bars) but it's still not working, live or historical.

                    I just tested and live data should work.

                    Open a NEW range chart and let it sit for awile. Make sure you are receiving live data for the instrument in the Control Center.

                      Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got range bars to work before. Don't know what's wrong though, could be .NET.

                        Ok, please try repairing your database and test a NEW chart: Tools --> Options --> Misc --> Repair DB.
