Sim101 account and shadow strategy

Hi folks,

I test manually (means enter trades manually) a trading strategy on Sim101 account. Can I somehow also utilize shadow strategy at the same time to gather some statistics?

I have Advanced Options already enabled and I read what you suggested. Problem is, I do not see any signs that shadow strategy is working. There are no any results in Account Performance tab as well. I thought that this might be related to the fact that I already use Sim101 account instead of live manually which prevents shadow strategy from running?

Hello Eternum,

It will not work if you run the 'regular' ATM strategy on the sim101 as well.

In addition, I suggest to name your shadow strategy different, such as "Shadow1..."

I have the same question: Can I use the demo account + shadow strategy option? I were not able to figure out if it is possible from the last posts...

Hi ikeaboy,

To clarify:
It is not possible to trigger a shadow strategy when the main ATM strategy is submitted to Sim101.

If you're using the free version of NinjaTrader, Sim101 is the only account available to you - due to this shadow strategies will not be executed.
