    Importing Interactive Brokers Currencies:

Is there a quick way to import all of the Currencies supported by IB? There are 57, and I'd prefer not to input them all manually... I'm switching from a setup that was using the Forex.com currencies that are set up like $EURUSD, whereas IB is like EUR.USD, etc...

    Hello slyng,

    Thank you for your post.

You will need to create a list that contains the 57 instruments you wish to use in the Market Analyzer using the procedure outlined at the following link: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...eFromList.html

No automated process for adding a group of instruments to a list exists.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Do i need to delete the "Forex.com" instruments, or can they both coexist?

Let me make sure I understand you: I cannot import a list of currencies like I can import a list of Stocks? Is there a particular reason for this? Are there any currencies for interactive brokers that come "built-in" like there are many futures contracts that are already built-in....

        Hi slyng,

        Thank you for your reply.

No, you will not need to delete those instruments. The symbol mapping for both providers is pre-configured there within.

        So, for example.

EURUSD will work with both Forex.com's symbol mapping ($EURUSD) as well as Interactive Brokers' symbol mapping (EUR.USD).

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

          Didn't work for me...

I tried to add a new currency (USD.CHF) however, I got this error:

            Hi slyng,

            Thank you for your reply.

You would want to use the USDCHF symbol that is pre-loaded into the instrument manager's default list as opposed to this custom instrument.

I tried this on another security that i was sure Forex.com didn't have: USD.MXN - I get the same error message...

                Hi slyng,

                Thank you for your reply.

Could you provide me with a screenshot of your settings (both the definition tab and the misc tab) for this instrument?

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

                    Hi slyng,

                    Thank you for your reply.

You symbol mapping appears to be correct. Are you receiving live data on the chart?

                      Hi Kyle,

I too have problems to use Forex data from TWS.
I have the data in TWS but not in the instrument manager from Ninja.
                      See attached pictures.

                      What is wrong?

Thanks Kyle for your promt support. It works, but I am surprised that I can receive data like $AUDJPY that is NOT listed in IBTWS. The data must come from elsewere or some hidden data supply in TWS. Anyway it works. Thanks again.
