TD Ameritrade TICK and TRIN

I can't get the TICK or the TRIN to come through for TD Ameritrade. If I take out the mapping and connect to both TD Ameritrade and Interactive Brokers, is NT smart enough to use IB instead of TD Ameritrade for these?

The TICK should work with TDA with the latest release of NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.9.

I am using $TICK.X in the mapping but NT just sits there with the "Loading data for TICK this can't be aborted" message... what am I doing wrong? $TICK does the same.

My version is 6.5.1000.9

Use $TICK as the mapping for TDA.
Try the following:
1.) Disconnect from your data feed (TDA)
2.) Open a ^TICK chart, a 1 tick line chart is what I used
3.) Then connect to TDA and you should see the live data come into the chart... unfortunately historical ^TICK data is not supported.

I've tried that 1 tick line chart and it doesn't load any data. The only data I see coming through is on the order tab of the control center, if I have TICK symbol loaded.

Please check that you are looking at the ^TICK(index) as there is a stock TICK as well.

I am. At the top of the chart window it shows ^TICK. I selected it form the index list. 1 tick chart will not populate.

Ok, verify that you receive the 'Last' price when you bring up ^TICK in the Control Center.
Then test with a NEW chart..

-Also it is after hours now, so it may not populate.

If it still does not work after market open tomorrow, send a note in to Support AT NinjaTrader DOT com and put Attn: Ray Stein in the subject and reference this post.

TDA $Tick.x reading issues

I can not get the $tick.x on a chart with the TDAmeritrade feed, is the problem ...works only during trading hours and not historical, or something else??

Can you please tell me what interval is used in your chart. Could it be you are using a tick interval. If so, note that historical tick data is not supported with TD AMERITRADE as per the link below.

In addition, please check with TD AMERITRADE if you should be able to receive historical data as per the TICK and real-time data outside

TDA $Tick.x reading issues

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the reply, I used only 1min and 5 min both are not working. I will try on Tuesday morning again with live market data, but I do not understand what the problem is here.

It should work, I can see the data in TDA's web browser chart, but not in a Ninja chart.

Unfortunately only real-time data as per the Nyse TICK is supported with TD AMERITRADE. Please see the release notes at version 6.5.1000.9 at the link below.
