Data errors?
Occasionally on a chart, a candlestick will completely blow up. For example on a one minute chart a stock might be trading at $6.00 and in a narrow range then all of a sudden, a candlestick shoots out with an open of 6 and a close of 7.5! Then it goes back to trading as normal This can mess with the scaling of the chart and besides is distracting. Any suggestions? The stock didn't seriously trade at 7.50 for 1 minute then go back to $6.00? No one seriously bought the stock at $7.50 right? Some kind of data error of some kind? I dunno. I would really appreciate any help.Tags: None

Hello,
Thank you for your note.
These are known as "bad ticks" or "price spikes" which is sent by the data provider.
We have a real-time tick filter to filter these out (does not work with historical data).
