    chart setup for market simulator

    I would like to use the simulator to enhance my skills.......... (mebbe to acquire some...lol)

    I have figured out how to get it running.. but I am at a loss as to how to get a chart to open....

    Can you give me the simple version explanation.........

    Also, I have been gathering data for replay... I guess to get the chart open for that will be similar to the simulator.?

    Please clarify this..

    Hello Dave,

    Thank you for your post.

    The simulated datafeed does not include historical data. The Simulated datafeed is internally generated canned data used for practice purposes, because of this your charts will start blank and build as simulated data is received. If you open a 1 minute chart and let it run for about a half hour there will be enough data for an indicator to populate.

    Simulated Datafeed

    Market Replay works if you have recorded market replay data. You can enable the recorded by following the instructions below.
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
    • Go to the "Data" tab
    • Enable "Run market replay recorder"
    • Press the "OK" button
    With the recorder enabled, NinjaTrader will record all level I and level II data while you are connected. This data will then be available to replay at a later date via the menu File > Connect > Market Replay Connection.

      I must have been a little blind when I was reading the instructions.

      I have the chart now, all is satisfactory....

      I plan to use this quite a bit on the weekend....... and was a little frantic when I could not see how to make things happen....

      I appreciate your detailed response...

      I have had no request of the support staff that went unresolved and for that I am really grateful..
