You can save real-time bar data by enabling 'Store real-time bar data' under Tools-->Options-->Data-tab.

i have had that peramiter checked for a few weeks but i still see no daily bars ?

Did you had a chart opened with a daily interval?

If not, I suggest to try 1440 minutes as a workaround.

how do i enter 1440 minutes ? .........do you mean 14400 seconds ?.....that would give me 4 hour bars.

there is no option for minutes

I am referring to minutes, which would be the equivalent of 24 hours.

Right click in the chart and select 'Format Data Series' and you should be able to select a minute interval.
