NinjaTrader with TradeStation

I'm currently using TradeStation and looking at NinjaTrader due to TS's limitations in the matrix window (i.e. their DOM) with futures . I have the demo of NT running using a datafeed from TradeStation but I'm wondering how the brokerage side of things will work given TS is proprietary and NT can't use TS as the broker. I take it this would mean, get another or a new broker. A couple questions:

- General question - any thoughts or advice on using this configuration - NT using TS datafeed and then a third party broker?

- Also, Infinity is listed as a brokerage partner with NT but no where in the UI can I figure out how to connect NT to Infinity. I see barcharts, IB, TD, Yahoo, etc - but no Infinity. What am I missing?

Any other guidance is also welcome.

Thank you for your post.

1.) You are correct, you cannot use TS as a broker:
TradeStation can be used with NinjaTrader in the following ways:

• As a real-time data source to drive NinjaTrader as a trade simulator (More Information)
• As a provider of historical data to drive NinjaTrader's charting or system/indicator development (via text file import)
• As a middle man application to process trading signals generated from Easy Language strategies to any of the 100's of supported NinjaTrader brokerages (More Information)

Unfortunately TradeStation does not provide a public API that would allow a product like NinjaTrader to route orders to their brokerage. At this time, only TradeStation software can send orders to its brokerage. However, NinjaTrader can be used with hundreds of brokers worldwide for futures, forex and equities trading with commission rates at or better than TradeStation.
Take me to a list of preferred NinjaTrader brokerage partners!
