    bracket orders & OCO

    Hello!

I am using NT with Patsystem's datafeed and orderrouting.

    My question:

How does it work with bracket orders - where are these orders "located" after I have placed my stop-entry order - are they working on the exchange or are they simulated on my local PC (when not executed yet).

    What about OCO orders?

Thank you very much for your help!

execution of bracket orders in detail (Patsystem)

      Hello again!

      Please imagine the following scenario:

I program a stop buy order at 100 with a bracket order (profittarget + stop loss) - the order has the status "working" (according to your information it should be at the exchange).

Then the following scenario happens: My internet connection goes down for 2 hours - during this time, the market moves up to 100 and later on further above this level.

Do I understand it right, when I say, that

1., my order got executed at 100 (or worse, because market order...),
2., the bracket order didn't get executed, because it is only simulated on my PC.

So, if I am right with the above mentioned assumptions, what happens, when my internetconnection is suddenly working again - will my bracket orders get executed as soon my PC is connected to the Patsystem-servers again?

What about OCO orders? - Would the OCO automation also suddenly work again, when the connection is on again.

I hope it is clear what I want to ask you!

Thank you very much for all of your help!!!!

        Hello Mario,

The OCO orders are lost and you will need to submit a manual OCO order to protect the naked position. Instructions can be found at the link below.

...and what happens to my bracket orders (profit target and stop loss)?

            Hello Mario,

            Thank you for your reply.

The Stop Loss and Profit Target of the original order would have been lost during the service interruption because they were stored on your PC locally. To protect your open position, you would need to recreate those orders using the steps listed at the link in post number four.
