Commission Settings

Can you please clarify how to set commissions for Futures (with IB for example)?

A buy or sell is $ 2.40, so a round trip $ 4.80 (for an ES at IB). I guess I enter 2.40 under Commission, but do I enter 0 or 1 under Units? I assumed 1 as the commission is per one contract, but it did not work but with 0 it did, hmm?

Correct, you will need to use $2.4/0 as a commission level. More information can be found at the link below.

Hmm,

maybe it wasn't my commission setting:

I do not get any commissions on the Account Performance tab when generating a report. Trades and gross profits are shown correctly, but commission is always $0.00 (this is live trading, btw)?

This is only on one computer, on the other it is shown correctly. What can I have changed (but it is a relatively new installation)? The instrument is the ES 03-09 as setup by NT, and I did not change it in the instrument manager (and I checked, there is no particular entry there for the ES).

What could I have set incorrectly, or what else could cause this?

Commission values are used in the following order:

• From the instrument if a commission value has been defined else
• From the instrument type if a commission value has been defined else
• No value is used since none have been defined

Please follow the instructions below to define commission values per instrument type:

• From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
• Select the tab "Commission"
• Click here for details on defining a commission values
