Is historical data stored uniquely for 2 different data providers?

    Hey everybody,

I'm pretty new with new NT, but had a quick question. I have both Esignal and IQfeed as data providers.

Once I've loaded 1/2009 data from Esignal, and then switch to IQfeed, if I load a chart with 1/2009 data does the data reload from IQfeed or will it still show Esignal data?

In other words, is each data providers data stored separately? And is this data stored in the access database?

Please let me know if anyone can help.
    Thanks,

    Hi,

    Thank you for your post.

You are correct in that data is unique to the data provider. If you are connected to a data feed, it will reload from your datafeed. This data is stored in your database, so when you are disconnected and reload, it is loaded from your database.

        Hi,

I have read on this forum somewhere that Ninja Trader has a server with historical tick data that ninja clients can use. is this correct or just a rumor?

Only Zen-Fire and Trading Technologies live users will have access to the historical data. Since both data feed providers do not provide historical data themselves, we provide historical data for these users as a courtesy.

Make sure historical data is enabled in your Zen-Fire connection. Go to Tools-->Account Connections, highlight the Zen-Fire connection and click Change.

If enabled, you will have automatically access to historical data when connected to Zen-Fire.
