    Instrument Manager

    How do I get access to any instrument that is not in the NT master listing? Example, I want to access SPY which is a stock traded on ARCA.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

    In an open chart, select the chart and type the stock you want, so "SPY" and hit enter. The chart should populate and the instrument will be automatically created in the instrument manager.

      Hi trying to add symbol to chart (ED & GE) to populate intrument manager.
      When I type ED into chart name I get a window saying : you need to select an instrument. Also tried adding directly into the instument manager as per the video, but came up with nothing when I hit search,.
      Whats the secret to adding these, thx JC

        Can you please tell me what data feed provider you are connected to.

        Make sure the exchange is set to Default.

        I suggest to try the same steps in the Control Center. Set Instrument type to Stock and type in the symbol and hit Enter. Check if you receive data in the Control Center.

          I,m connected to Ameritrade. If I add a stock symbol in control center with exchange set to default get no quotes in the Bid & Ask.
          If I bring up a new chart chart comes up but price is not being updated.
          Have tried removing adding connection & resetting database, thx JC

            Just to verify, you have enabled express trading in your TDA account as per the directions in this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...AMERITRADE.htm

            If so, send in a note to support AT ninjatrader DOT com. In the subject put to Ray Stein's attention and reference this thread.
            -Include your TDA username and Password in the note so that I can test your connection on my end.
