Yes, you got it. I would need iqfeed only for daily historical indicators. while pats for real time buy/sell.

Does MULTIPLE INSTRUMENTS IN A STRATEGY code example is enough to create a strategy of this kind?

The code just demonstrates how to use multiple instruments. If you want to trade on Pats, you want to have the primary bar series to be the one on the Pats connection and then submit orders to BarsInProgress = 0.
