Ideal Computer for NT?

Was wondering what you guys recommend for computer specs for running NT. Mainly does it benefit from multiple cores and large amounts of RAM?

NinjaTrader 6.5 does not support multi-core processors.
NinjaTrader 7, which is slated for a beta release in the second quarter, will support multi-core processors.

Ideally, you would want the fastest processor and as much RAM as possible.

It would be great if NT could provide more details as to an optimal computer / laptop configuration. For example, we now know that NT supports multiple cores, but does that include quad cores? We know more RAM = better, but would NT take advantage of RDRAM? Would a graphics card take some of the load off the processor? Is a 3D card overkill?

Many users purchase a computer specifically for use with trading. Some (hopefully including me, in the future) want to build one and one of the main considerations is how well it will work with a front end like NT.

1.) Yes, that does include quad core processors.
2.) Not sure if using RDRAM would speed NinjaTrader's processing or not. We have no further recommendations regarding RAM.
3.) Yes, a graphics card would likely take some of the load off of the processor. We have no further recommendations regarding graphics processors.
