When I set start time and an early end time parameter on a chart, does a strategy look to the end time on the chart in order to exit my position on that instrument? Does the chart control?

Yes, the session begins and ends times will influence your strategy unless otherwise specified in your code.

When I set an early session end time on my chart, the strategy shows an "exit on close" at the correct candle. However, on the following candle, I show an additional execution totally unrelated to my strategy. How do I suppress this additional execution?

I am not sure what this execution is from.

1.) Is it from the same account?

2.) Is it a partial fill from the same order that occurred on the next bar?

...And the answer is: set "exit on close seconds" = 0. Problem solved.
