market replay issue

Is there a common reason for market replay to not work? Ihave a free version on each of 2 computers, MR works on one but not the other? I am trying to synch them so that I can have a dif chart on each but replaying in synch with each other.

Hi lindsayf, the most common reason is that the 'market data recorder' was not enabeld under Tools > Options > Data.

What do you mean by 'MR does not work'? Did you try the data files from one PC on the other?

The 'Run market replay recorder' is enabled. Could it have something to do with using the same NT lic number on each computer? (MR=market replay)
No havent swapped data files.

This depends on the type of license you use, with the sim one it would not matter. But it could be an issue with your broker / datafeed login since you would need two live logins for this setup.

Do you mean that (I have zenfire) I need 2 seperate data streams (ie sep licences) from them to do this?

Hi,

You may need two different logins in order to do this, however as a work around, you can transfer your market replay files from the PC that does work to the other one.
Create a backup of only the market replay files, transfer this backup to the other PC and restore it there.
