Connect to MBT first. The one you connect to first will be your main datafeed provider.

That's correct. Unless you want to use the GAIN account to trade on.

sorry, but i am not able to understand the importance of the first connection. The reason i could think about is not a reason anymore after you read it:

"What about historical data? No problem since NinjaTrader is smart enough to realize that although it uses BrokerB for real-time data it will request historical data from BrokerA."

1 the unique reason i cam imagine is: if i believe that brokerA has data more reliable than brokerb. Then i make brokerA the first. Is that right?

2 with GAIN and ZEN, should i choose one or another to be the first?

3 there is a way to make NJ connect at startup? Jesus, i hate all softwares that have this option cheked and just know that i need it i don't have this option

4 maybe i understtod wrong Bertrand, but you saidyou can have 40 days of tick even with gAIN and Zen? How can i do that? I tried to load tick from GAIN and got maybe less than 2000 ticks i think.

sorry for so many questions. I am really gratefull with your help.

          best regards.

1.) Yes, you can do this. Also when you create your connection, some connections will allow you to disable historical data. You can choose this option if you only want data from one connection.

2.) No, this won't matter and you should be able to place trades to both brokers.

3.) Unfortunately this is not supported. This is already on development's list of future considerations.

4.) When you create the GAIN connection, make sure you choose to use the NinjaTrader servers instead of the GAIN servers.

Well i connect to mbt first and only get real time data but time when i am not logged on is empty of data. Even when one logs off and say an hour later log back on ... that 1 hour of data is missing.

So... i just log in on Gain. That way i do not have missing data.

This experience shows that mbt hook up with NT ... for data feed only gives realtime data...meaning when logged on... which is as useful as ...LOL

This is expected, this link will show you that MBT does NOT provide historical data: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ricalData.html

                  EXactly...

                  my point.

Not only that its only as good as when u're logged on. LOL
After that , no data feed LOL

So this hook up is as good as .. --------- ( exactly!!)

                  a waste of time.

Now that I can connect to Yahoo, how do I load a chart of a stock such as GOOG?
I select File--Chart, and then from the drop down menu I can only select from a few symbols like ES. And after I open a daily chart of ES, it is blank.

Try typing in the symbol in the chart and hit Enter.

Keep in mind Yahoo only provides EOD for stocks.
