Past replay files

How do I play past replay files? For example, YM from 01-02-2008. All files are in correct locations. Current recorded market files that I recorded today work fine. I just can't get the chart to display anything when using past recorded files. I'm using ver 6.5.1000.8

Try changing the contract to the one traded during that time period. You can't use YM 03-09 for year old data.

How do I do that? I've tried, it just won't allow me to do it...

Control Center/Tools/Instrument Manager. Select your instrument, click in expiry drop down menu and find the contract to add to your selection on the left.

That worked. I was trying to change it where you open a new chart - why you can't do it there is beyond me; not too intuitive...
