    Reset Simulator

After I do some trial trading I like to delete the trades in the Simualtor. When I first started doing this with Tools/Simulator/reset it worked fine and the trades would delete as I did the reset.

Now the trades are still visible in the simulator or replay account. I have to close program to show the deleted trades.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hello,

Please try resetting the sim101 and replay101 account once more via Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab.

Select the account in question and ensure 'Clear history' is enabled and click Ok.

That is what I am doing but it does not clear the trades, etc. It does but you have to more or less close things before it functions like it is cleared.

Sorry, I am not sure if I follow. Are you referring to trades made spanning the moment you reset the sim101 account; the entry order is submitted before resetting, while the exit order is submitted after resetting the sim101 account?

In the past, when I reset the simulator, to clear the history, I could see the trades deleted after I hit the reset. Now after I hit the reset they are still there. If I close the program and restart, they are gone.

I reset often to clear out strategies. It is a bit frustrating.

          What am I doing wrong?

            Hello James,

I am not sure why trades do not disappear upon hitting Reset. I tested it on my end and the executions listed in the Executions-tab were removed once I hit the Reset button.

Can you please check what version of NinjaTrader you have installed. You can check this under Help-->About.

                Hello James,

I suggest to repair the database at Tools-->Options--Misc-tab and try once more.

If the issue persists, you could try deleting the database and check if the issue persists upon using a brand new database. The database contains saved chart data, trade history and ATM templates.

To delete the database, close NinjaTrader and go to My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db and delete the NinjaTrader(mdb) file.

Start NinjaTrader and check if the issue persists.

                  The Order section is deleting.

Its the Account Performance section that is not deleting.

                    Hello,

I see, this is as expected. After you reset the sim101 account, please generate a new report and it should appear blank.
