Manual entry/Strategy exit?

Hi,

Is it possible in Ninja to enter a trade manually, yet have a strategy take over the trailing stop (exit) process? I have very discretionary entry criteria that I wouldn't know how to code, but once in, i want an ATR trailing stop to take over without me having to manage.

Hi 5iver, unfortunately this is not possible, as they entry would have to come from a NinjaScript strategy.

However for manual entries you could add the AutoTrail to your ATM - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...AutoTrail.html

Hi,

I'm evaluating NT and after 3 days I'm confronted with the same problem. So let me ask the question another way.

Is it possible for a strategy to find/see and act on an existing position not opened by this strategy? In fact an open position's data is nothing more than some kind of input data.

So if there is no way in NT someone could save position data outside of NT and with the C# libraries the strategy could go and read whatever and wherever it likes to read (and do what it likes to do). Or the strategy could find the position data right in the account.

Am I wrong at this or is this a way to go? Sorry if this is answered anywhere but I need to find out how flexible/capable this NT scripting language is.

Of course you need to know what you do but that's not the question.
