    Correct Chart Scaling

    Hi Support,

How do I get the correct time and price scale to display with NT?

I need a 5 minute time horizontal across bottom and 5 or 10 pips price scale vertical.

Attached are 2 images, what I have and the correct scale, even though the correct is using a 1 second time frame.

    Hello speed,

    Thank you for your post.

Using the constant lines indicator, you could apply two transparent lines to stretch the scale to the spread you need.

Thanks for the quick reply Kyle. But there are a zillion settings and many in the Constant Lines indicator. I've been playing around with the indicator you suggested but obviously I need a bit more step by step. I'm not getting any results with it and the help file is worthless.

Also what about the time scale across the bottom?

Why does NT have to be so complicated. I'm a trader not a programmer

      Thanks,
      Lee

        Hello speed,

To clarify, you are trying to scale the chart to certain time and tick values? If so, please review the following link which will give you information on expanding and contracting the chart: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ingAChart.html

If, however, you are trying to get the price and time axises to display, please try setting the color for axis property to white. To access the properties menu, please right click within the chart and select properties.

If neither of the above satisfy your query, please clarify.

          Thanks Kyle,

I've got the scale displaying now, white Duh, and compressing or decompressing is not an issue, I'm strictly trying to get the scale parameters right, like the correct example in my second screen capture on my first post.

I still haven't been able to find how I get the price scale to 5 pip increments. It's showing 10 pips, 114.10, 114.20 etc and I need to see 114.10, 114.15, 114.20, 114.25 etc.

          Got any ideas?

            Hello Lee,

Glad to hear part of this is resolved.

The level of chart scaling you can achieve is dependent on both the X and Y axises. Five pip increments on the Y axis are possible with a shorter time frame on the X axis.
