Exporting Live historical data into Excel

The other day in one of online training sessions Ray Stein mentioned that live historical data can be exported into Excel using an indicator and suggested I look for it in the forum.
So does anyone have any idea how this can be done?

I imported the file you sent me and ran it off of a chart but don't quite understand what it's doing. It seems it's doing nothing if I'm not mistaken.

The reference sample shows you how you can go about programming an indicator that does it. You will still need to program your own custom indicator.
