    SMTP 500 5.5.1 Command unrecognized

Been trying to send out messages and keep getting a popup error "Failed to send mail: 500 5.5.1 Command unrecognized". After doing a little research it appears as though some ISP's (mine is Cox.net), have added a 'GreetPause' feature. Basically after opening a connection to the SMTP server it waits a small amount of time on a new connection to ensure that a spammer is not slamming.

So my question, is there a workaround for this in NT (I won't call it an issue)? Tried an internal SMTP server, however those ports are blocked.... Suggestions??? Sure don't want to custom code an SMTP server to get around this.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately not one that I can think of.

      Workaround

I should have done a little more snooping around. http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...mtp+workaround has a good solution and it worked fine for me today. Looks like it will do all I need it to do.

      Thanks!
