simultaneous trades

Hi...Am I able to run independent trades on different timeframes, on the same instrument at the same time? I expect so but cant readily find any info on this.

Yes, this is supported upon setting the ATM strategy selection mode to 'DisplaySelectedAtmStrategyOnly'. More information can be found at the link below.

This mode is an advanced mode and should only be used once you have become very familiar with the NinjaTrader application.

Who is this mode designed for?
This mode is designed for traders who want to run concurrent ATM Strategies (trades) in the same market. This mode will visually separate all concurrent running ATM Strategies thereby allowing you to have multiple SuperDOMs open, tracking the same market but displaying different trade strategies."

Will this function also allow simultaneous trades to be viewed on seperate chart templates as opposed to DOMs?

Correct. You can access the ATM strategy selection mode by right clicking in the ChartTrader section and click 'ChartTrader Properties'.
