    Hi Bertrand,

Did a clean install of everything, both NT and eSignal. I get exactly the same error.

    Help, please!

Hi doculik, did you follow through all the 6 steps I posted under post #12? Would you see the same error after rebooting the machine fresh as well after your newly done installs?

        Hi Bertrand,

Yes I have followed all the steps:
        a) uninstall current NT7 from the Win Control Panel -- done!
        b) check if the Program Files > NinjaTrader 7 is removed then as well, if not please delete (leave the folder under Documents intact (!)) -- done!
        c) reinstall latest NT7 from here - http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php -- done!
        d) recheck if you can connect -- getting error!
        e) if not please install eSignal 10.6 fresh as well and create a complete new NT eSignal account connection then as well -- done, installed from http://esignal.com/products/download.aspx, version 10.6
        f) then recheck again if you can connect please -- getting error!

I have eSignal Data Manager running, as shown in the picture.

I'll restart and let you know.

Finally, I restarted and managed to connect to eSignal.
Now I have a new issue, I can't seem to get the symbols right. On the eSignal support page, says that the symbol format is the following:
          Symbol Format: BIN Z6-IDM = symbol,space,month,year,exchange code
when I'm trying with the FTSE MIB future, I get the "invalid instrument name" error. Even if I search for it using NT's instrument search function it's not working...

          Where should I start?

EDIT: I need to add that I'm connected to both IQFeed and eSignal at the same time. eSignal is supposed to deliver european futures market data (such as the above mentioned MIB) while IQFeed is providing NYSE and NASDAQ market data.

Glad to hear you could connect? Which feed are you connecting to first? As this would be the feed where all data is then taken from, since eSignal and IQFeed would both support all instrument categories we can support (Futures, Forex, Equities)

Well... I'm connecting to both at start-up, but to answer your question, I guess I'm connecting to IQFeed first.
Strange thing: I get CAC40 futures prices (with the "cac40 06-12" symbol) (which I could only get through eSignal, since I'm not subscribed to it via IQFeed), however I don't seem to be getting the correct symbol for the FTSE MIB future.

Ok, so now I've disconnected IQFeed, I'm only connected to eSignal. I get a bunch of error messages when trying to see us stock data, which is normal as I don't have the authorization for them.
However, when I try loading the MIB, this is what happens. I don't get any error message anymore, I see stuff being loaded in the NT status bar, however nothing is displayed on the chart.
You can see more details in the attached pics.

How can get I accurate and reliable graphs?

EDIT: In a MarketAnalyzer window, while connected only to eSignal, I get only Bid and Ask, without a LastPrice. And these only for the CAC40 futures contract. It's pretty random at the moment, I don't understand why the other contracts aren't showing up...

                Thanks,
                D

Would you see the same outcome for your MIB30 contract, if you go to Tools > Instrument Manager and change the merge policy for the MIB30 master instrument to 'DoNotMerge'?

Yep, I see the same outcome. I've even restarted NT after changing the policy to DoNotMerge.

Anyway, here's a screenshot of the MarketAnalyzer, showing the Bid/Ask but not the Last...

The MIB and IBEX contracts don't show any Level 1 data and for the CAC40 only the current front month, which would be expected. Would you please email us via Help > Mail to Support including a reference to this thread?

Sure, do I need to say something else?

                        Thanks,

That's fine, if you add 'Attn Bertrand' - that helps as well, but usually the thread ref will do it's task.

                          Thanks,
