Last (most recent) daily or weekly bar update time

When I load a new instrument, it takes about 1 minute for the last (most recent) bar to appear.

I am using EOD data from Yahoo on daily and weekly charts. Is it to do with this data provider, or do I need to change a setting in NT somewhere?

Hello Olly,

This is related to the 'Market Data Request Interval' setting in the Yahoo connection setup. However, I recommend to leave this setting to 60 seconds as per the connection guide below.

I am not sure. I suggest to test on your machine to see the outcome.

The recommended setting is 60 seconds.

Thanks - I'll try it and see what happens.

Also, I've noticed that the chart indicator lines (such as EMA, MACD-H) only go as far as the last-but-one bar. I am finding this frustrating when I am reviewing the days activity and need to know the new EMA position, for example.

Is there a way to make the indicator go right up to the present day's activity (i.e. after the market has closed?)

Hello Olly,

Please set 'Calculate on bar close' to False for the indicators in question to have values calculated on each incoming tick, instead on the close of a bar.
