Cant open more then 1 chart

    Cant open more then 1 chart

    Before I connect up the zenfire data, I can create two charts and they backfill ok,, YM, NQ.. As soon as I connect the zenfire data, all bars go away on one chart but I can still see the depth of market coming through on the chart "A: B:"..
    If I close the chart with no bars and create a new chart from scratch, the "Instrument" dropdown in right corner, has the contracts but won't let me select any contract,, always says "Instrument"...

    Thank you for your post.

    Just to verify, you are getting data in the Control Center from Zen-Fire, correct?

    Try closing all charts, repairing your database and opening NEW charts.

    Repair DB: Tools --> Options --> Misc --> Repair DB.

      Yes data on

      enclosed is two pictures.. first zen data not on,, second zen data on ,, YM blank with data on.. Also if I drop the instrument box down YM, I can't select any contract ,like chart locked up.
      I did the repair data base but no help.

        Please try resetting your database: Tools --> Options --> Misc --> Reset DB.

          Reset DB , did not solve ,,
          I did notice that if I connect Zenfire data first with a blank workspace, add two charts ,,, then its ok..
          Also when its in this condition no bars on one chart, I cant add or do anything with charting.
          I did change my virus software from McAfee to BitDefender before this started, I went back and did a system restore back to McAfee virus software but did not help.

            You may have a corrupt workspace.

            Try closing this workspace and opening two charts in a new workspace to test.

              Already did that, creating new work space didnt help.

                Hi gg80108, are you sure there are no traces of Bitdefender left on your system? We have noticed some issues with BitDefender 2009 not properly configured to grant NinjaTrader the neccessary access permissions.

                  Hi, take a look at the attached files a few threads ago,, there is data on the time and sales for each contract,, so I guess its getting the data?

                    Try renaming your database:

                    1. Shut Down NinjaTrader
                    2. Go to \Documents\NinjaTrader6.5\db
                    3. Rename the file NinjaTrader.mbd to OldNinjaTrader.mbd

                      Did not help,, Sometimes the second chart is ok, like when I brought up NT this morning all was ok.. But then after I did the suggested process to rename the database,, same issue, no bars painting on second chart, even though time and sales coming through.

                      After first failure , closed NT and brought back up 2 times and is ok.. lets put this on hold for now,, will update.

                        Do you have any 3rd party indicators on your chart? Try removing these and see if the data will come through. Also, are you able to right click and select "Reload Historical Data" in the chart with no data?

                          "Reload Historical Data" did not do anything.. This happens with just a plain chart with no indicators. Noticed if I have two charts on other workspaces, only one fills also with live data.. Noticed that I cant delete other workspaces, I have 3 workspaces but it says each one is active when I try to delete,, Only one workspace can be active at one time right?

                          Guess we are getting close to rebuild time.. What is the best way to clean all NT off my PC, for a clean reinstall?

                              Rebuild per instructions.. Still Fails to rebuild 2nd chart intermittently.. Thought I cleaned out everything including the registry which still had entries after remove programs.. I did notice that when I went to created the first chart , the number of backdays was filled with 15 a setting I had increased it to from the old setup.. Maybe there is something else I needed to delete?

                              I have never seen the failure yet when the Control Center and the charts are on my secondary monitor, only when I start to move things across monitors.
