cannot open position on stock at 5:20 AM EST

I use IB, why can't I open stock position using NT charttrader at 5.20 AM EST? I can do it manually using TWS

Hi asalada, what kind of error do you get? Please take a look at the Log tab in the Control Center. Also make sure you use the IB TWS version 887.2, as we still recommend using this in connection with NinjaTrader.

problem is the menu not available when right clicking on chart, now at 6:20 AM EST I can see the menu for entering position, but i could not enter position at 5:20 AM EST because the menu just wasnt there

Are you sure ChartTrader was enabled already at that point in time? You can also minimize it by clicking the small triangle in the upper right corner, however the option to enter orders from the chart with a right click should then still be present.

No, normally not - are your chart session times setup properly to allow the chart display in those times you mentioned? You can check by double clicking in the chart to bring up the 'Properties' and then looking for the Session Begin / Endtime settings.
