format data series last date

I can't find anything in support or help on this so I'll post the question here:

I have a workspace with a dozen equity charts. When opening the workspace, frequently the "last date" of the data series does not update to the current date to enable live data.

The order of which is done first: connecting to the data stream or opening the workspace -- has no effect. The "last date" on each chart must be manually advanced in the "format data series" menu to the current day.

On the following day, occasionally the charts "last date" will automatically advance to the current day. At other times, they won't.

I see no settings that could affect this. It would be really nice if the "last date" updated to the current day automatically when opening a workspace with a chart. Appreciate any advice, thanks in advance.

Can you please check what version of NinjaTrader you have installed. You can check this at Help-->About. Ensure you have our latest version installed (6.5.1000.8).

I suggest to delete the workspace, create a new one and check if the issue persists. You can find your workspaces at My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->workspaces. Make sure NinjaTrader is closed when deleting a workspace.
