    Data gap in my charts

I am experiencing a gap in my charts - see attached. Am using NT7. This gap shows up for M2K, MNQ and MES. I already tried RepairData Base and Reset Data Base but to no avail. Including closing and reopening NT7. Is there an issue with your DataServers, or CQG (which is what I am using)?

    Hello Sandman,

    Thank you for the message.

When I tested the MNQ 06-25 on my platform, there were no gaps in the data.

Please use the following steps to remove all of the old Historical Data from the platform and re-download the data new:
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Go to the Documents folder > NinjaTrader 7 > db, this folder holds all of the historical data
      • Delete the following folders:
        • Tick
        • Minute
        • Day
        • Cache
          • Do NOT delete any other files or folders
      • After Deleting these folders, reopen NinjaTrader and it will make New ones automatically.
Reconnect to market data and wait for the charts to load in (It will take a little longer since it has to re-download the historical data)
    • Does the gap continue?

If the gap continues after the steps above, please use the following steps to send your log and trace files to the support team directly from your NinjaTrader Platform so we may investigate this behavior further:
    • Within NinjaTrader, go to the Control Center > Help > Click Mail to Platform Support...
    • Email: Enter your email address and make sure it is spelled correctly
    • Subject: Copy and paste the Forum URL
    • Attach: Attach a file, picture, or compressed file to share multiple files/pictures
    • Body: Include any other information you would like to share on the situation
    • Make sure 'Log and Trace files' is checked to include the requested files
      • Send the email
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

      Yikes!

If you're not wanting to delete any data (which may be precious
and go back years), try doing this instead,

CC -> Tools -> Historical Data Manager -> Download

and download the minute data for MNQ.

Make sure the download period at least covers the gap
period you see in your chart.

I always found an explicit download of historical data would
resolve most chart issues (except for gaps caused during
rollover periods, which is usually a different problem.)

      Just my 2˘.

        Hello Sandman,

        Thank you for your patience.

Our team was made aware of the gap in data and is currently working to backfill the missing data.

Please restart NinjaTrader and then reconnect to data.
        • Then, right-click on the chart and select "Reload all historical data"
        • If the gap remains, wait another 5-10 minutes, restart NinjaTrader again and then Click to "Reload all historical data" again.
Once the gap disappears, it will mean the data was backfilled.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
