    Vertical Scale Question

Is there a way to unlock the vertical scaling on the chart? There is a way to scale down indefinitely but not scale up. I think the scaling up is limited by the largest candle.

    Hello,

You cannot alter the scaling in any way other than manually: left click to the right of the vertical axis and drag down. You can also do this below the horizontal axis.

      Hi Ben,

The issue comes up when I have a few huge bad tick candles which automatically shrink the rest. The manual scaling does not allow you to vertically scale up the regular candles disregarding the bad ticks. If I understand you correctly this is a limitation in the software and not a config issue. Is that correct?

      Thank you

        Hello,

This a limitation, however you can contact your data feed and request that they remove any bad ticks.

You can also set tick filtering via: Tools>Options>Data tab, and check enable Real-time tick filtering.

For now, try going to Tools>Historical data>Delete and delete the data then pull up a chart again to get new data. The data feed may have already fixed the tick.

            Reload Historical Data

for bad ticks I just reload historical data from the right click on the chart menu...it clears any bad ticks right away and resolves the problem you are having

Thx, I resolved that particular issue. However I still think the scaling up indefinitely should be a config option for those cases where large candles or gaps hinder the readability of smaller moves.

Hi pavtrader, great you got it resolved - our upcoming NinjaTrader 7 will offer more scaling options as well.
