Simulator vs real funded account margin requirements

I just finished a 2 week trial and really need another two weeks as I wasn't able to spend enough time on the tool and I'm in a group of people jumping into trading futures so they want me to pick the tool. I was able to buy 45 gold futures contracts in this simulator but when I tried to use my Etrade account where I can trade futures it would only allow me to trade 2 contracts with twice the simulator money. How can I get another 2 weeks of a trial using real margin requirements and can you please explain the margins of simulation vs real trading?

Thank you for the message.

Every broker will have their own Margin Requirements. Since you were trading an ETrade account, you need to reach out to their support team and ask them what their margins are and keep that in mind moving forward.

• Also, I'm not aware of ETrade being able to connect within the NinjaTrader platform. You would have to reach out to their support team for more help and information on where you can connect and use that account from.

The Free 2 Week Demo account from NinjaTrader is only free for 2 Weeks.

• After that, you have to apply for a Live account and then subscribe to real-time data. Then, once that is active, you could keep using the Demo account to practice trade.

Otherwise, you would have to get an account with another Broker or Evaluation Provider and use them and their accounts for the data and to practice trading.
