Ninjatrader windows do not work w/ Fancy Zones in Power Toys

I use Fancy Zones from windows Power Toys to organize my windows. It appears that the ninjatrader windows do not respond to the "Shift drag" prompt of Fancy Zones like other windows like my browser window. What is going on?

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the Fancy Zones software therefore suggest contacting their support team to verify if there are any limitations to the programs that can used with the Power Toys add-on.

I really don't understand your logic. Power Toys is a collection of free utilities for Windows supported by Microsoft. It works fine for my other Windows application like Chrome, Thunderbird, notepad, Excel, Word and so forth. Microsoft is not obligated to explain why ninjatrader does not work with Fancy Zones. Is ninjatrader a valid Windows application? Then I think it is incumbent on you to explain why it does not work as one.

Fancy Zones is a poor man's workaround as a window container for all of the ninjatrader chart windows. The Feature request for a windows container to hold all of the ninjatrader chart windows has been around since at least 2019. Many of the other charting software programs already have this capability. If that feature is never going to be implement, you would think that ninjatrader would at least look into workarounds or what the user has to do to get a workaround like Fancy Zones to work.

I see another user posted a possible workaround on another NinjaTrader Forum thread available Here. If you do not speak Spanish you can use the Closed Caption option to translate the steps being used.

Have been using it for a couple of years now and although it can be slightly glitchy at times, it's been working quite well overall. Hope this helps
