Static SuperDOM

I am a newbie to NinjaTrader, so still learning my way around.

I deleted all the instrument lists (except default). I also cleaned the default list and added just two securities.

The simulated data feed is working fine, I can open charts so all seems to be good.

However when I open Static superDOM I am not getting anything under the instrument list, but Dynamic superDOM seems to work fine. Attached is a screenshot of my problem.

Why am I not getting anything under my instrument list in Static superDOM?

The reason this is occurring because the Static superDOM is only used with Futures whereas the Dynamic superDOM can be used with currency pairs and stocks in addition to futures. In order to have instruments available in the static superDOM you will need to add futures contracts. Please visit the link provided for information regarding the addition of instruments to instrument lists.

I've got same problem (static super DOM does not show instrument list). I'm connected to simulated data feed, selected 6E 03-14, I see data (Bid, ask, last) in control center panel. When I open new static super DOM, instrument selection is empty. With dynamic superDOM everything works fine.

Are you able to access the instrument list in a new SuperDOM window within a new workspace? To create a new workspace, please click File > Workspaces > New Workspace.

I've solved the problem in a meantime I had to add futures (6E 03-14) to my default instrument list first. For some reason, Static superDOM can't see other instrument lists than default - even I had created seperate instrument lists for stocks, futures etc. to have them organised

I've been using NT with the Zen-Fire feed through Mirus and I was using the Static SuperDOM. Now I'm using NT with the CQG feed through AMP. And it's using the Dynamic SuperDOM which I don't like. I don't see an option for creating a new Static SuperDOM. Is this because I didn't request this earlier today when I set up the trading platform at AMP? And now that I've changed that will they change that for me so when I log in tomorrow it will be available? Or is this an NT function? Thanks.

This is a NinjaTrader function - you license key is setup for the Dynamic SuperDOM only. Please send us an email at sales[at]ninjatrader[dot]com that includes your license key requesting to enable the static SuperDOM.
