Does Barchart give tick or bar data?

Hi,

I use only bar data in my code, and going forward, I'll be pulling it from Barchart. I'd like to better understand how it's coming in, so I can coordinate results from real-time with historical backtesting.

So... does Barchart actually provide 1 minute bar data to NinjaTrader in real-time, which I would assume would be the same if I ask for the same bar in historical tests a few days/weeks/months down the road? Or does it only provide tick data in real-time, which NinjaTrader itself locally accumulates into bar data?

Barchart.com provides realtime streaming data as well historical 1-minute and historical tick data. However, tick data is limited to 32000 bars back. This will be changed with NT7 (first beta Q1 09).

My question was probably unclear.

When my strategy is running in real time, and using Barchart as the data provider... what is the source of the "bars" that my code is seeing? Is it:

a) Barchart is the direct source of the 1 minute bars,
b) or is NinjaTrader accumulating real-time ticks, and calculating OHLC based on an internal timestamp?

b) bars built in realtime: Barsharts realtime ticks accumulated by NT based on Barchart native timestamps.

1 minute history

How far does the barchart historical minute data go back? I'm only getting minute bars from approximately last November (11/08).

I found my answer on another post ~180 days of historical minutes.
