Please try the following. Close NinjaTrader and set your PC clock and time zone setting to local exchange time.

Check if you display data for 1/2 and not for today.

My PC is always set to local exchange time zone. Anyway, I set it again.
I cannot display 2 Jan data despite that I set it specifically to load data till this date.

Strange, I experience the same outcome on my end as well regarding the E5H.SI stock.

Could you please confirm this behavior does not occur using the AAPL or other US stocks.

I suspect it will only occur when using stocks traded on the Singapore exchange.

Could you inform me of other Singapore stocks that do not display data for yesterday.

You're right, all stocks traded in Singapore exchange which I look at behave this way. Some examples for you are S68.SI, BN4.SI, S51.SI, D05.SI, T39.SI and F34.SI. I can't comment on U.S. stocks and I hope E-Minis charts are ok.
Await the outcome of NT investigation.

Could you please create a daily chart for the AAPL and AMGN and check if data is displayed as expected while connected to Yahoo.

I tested the S68.SI, BN4.SI as well as the E5H.SI today and displayed a price candle for today, but not for 1/5 or 1/2. Do you experience the same?

Connected to Yahoo. Charts for AMGN and YHOO are ok.

Yes. BN4.SI & all stocks in Singapore Exchange have the same problem.

Thank you for reporting back. I will follow with our Development department tomorrow, since they already left the office.

However it seems Yahoo does not support historical data for Singapore stocks as per 2009. NinjaTrader acts like a radio receiver in that we display data as it is provided.

Where did you hear from that Yahoo does not provide historical data for Singapore stocks as from 2009?

Please check with YAHOO support what data is available. As I go to the YAHOO site I could not find any historical data for 2009 on E5H.SI: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=E5H.SI

SRS & SSO backtest data limitations

Anybody have any idea why I can only backtest SRS 15 min. on Yahoo through Ninja to 3/17/2008? I have gone to Yahoo Historical prices and it goes back to 2/1/07.

Also SSO 15 min. on Yahoo through Ninja can only get to 1/15/08 where as yahoo historical prices go back to 6/21/06?

                        chamza,

Yahoo! connection only supports Daily data, not intraday data.

Sorry maybe I was not clear. I set the time frame to 5/1/2007 - 1/14/2009 in the Optimizer. I am just trying to backtest SRS 15 EMA Cross and I can only get Yahoo data through Ninja to go back to 3/17/2008? Is there a way to get further back data with the above parameter's ?

Try running a chart. See if you can draw in the data. If not then unfortunately we just cannot access older data.

Put in a 1000 days back in the chart, same thing only 3/18/08.
                              Frustrating!

Reset your instrument list and try again. Tools->Options->Misc->Reset Instruments. Remember, Yahoo data feed is a free feed and as such limitations do exist, especially for how much data can even be drawn from them.
