Historic Data Download Question.

NT,

When loading historic data, prior to downloading the data, I select a template that has MACD in it.

The MACD is set for update on bar close, but EMA uses tick data.

When loading historic data, Am I downloading tick data or 1 minute bar close data????

Hello RJay,

Thank you for your post.

Historical data of the same type as the chart you have open is loaded, so a 5 min chart will load minute data, a 100 tick chart will load tick data.

i have just spent 4 hours trying to make this work! i cant gat the data for the sim it says its there! have to wait till monday to call! any help?

Welcome to the forum.

When connected to your data feed, historic data should download from NT's servers automatically.

By chance did you mean replay data.

Hello horns,

Can you please tell us to what connectivity provider you connect in NinjaTrader to load the data.

What instrument (+ expiry month) and interval do you have selected in the chart?

Does the issue occur for all instruments and intervals you try?

Does it make a difference if you right click in the chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data'?
