SMA value shows different in v6.5.1000.8

    Hi,

I've two version of NT running:
    • One live v6.5.1000.7 and the other development v6.5.1000.8.
    • Both using Zen-Fire data feed.
    • Showing SMA(34) value in both system difffer from each other by 3 points, both same time frame (60 Min/ 30 days) /Instrument (ES 03-09).
    • I checked the @SMA.cs v.8 has as an older date (02-13-2008 12:35)
    • Can you please let me if this is normal?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

Can you go to Tools>Historical data>delete and delete the historical data in both platforms then retest it. Note if you have both of these on the same computer things will not work correctly. You must test this one two computers.

If you feel .8 is still not working properly, please post screen shots of two charts and include the entire chart showing the differences.

I have to wait to delete "Historical data" on the live trading system PC. I will let you know when done & send you the screen shot...

      Thanks.

I've just deleted the historical data from the test/development PC - and it is now showing only one .03 different. It's ok acceptable as this will rounded to tick.

              Many thanks for you help.

                Hello,

You are welcome. This link may help understand why this happenned:

It mostlikely has to do with the fact that you are storing real-time data on your charts...including the .03 difference you see now.
