Profit Per Month

In the profit per month section there are three columns - all trades, long trades and short trades.The sum of short+long trades is different than the amount I have in all trades. Can someone explain it to me why? I checked Ninjatrader help/guide, but there is nothing there about this.

This is because the calculation for "Profit per month" is a little more complex than just the sum of trades that month:

Hi,

I checked this information in the help guide before. It basically says the same thing I am saying. At currency it says cumulative profit times the number of days. And at the cumulative profit it basically says the "Sum of all trades." The problem is that in my case the profit per month is not the sum of my trades.* All trades are much less then the sum of longs and shorts. I'm probably missing something, but I don't know what. I don't have much patience now anyways. Thanks, it's not that important.

Thank you for the update.

Due to how this calculation works, it isn't unexpected for the two values to not line up. Since it divides the value by the number of trades, it changes when it's just long or just short versus all of the trades together.
